Creative Zone, the departmental club, functioning exclusively for Arts Students, inculcates a penchant for language and literature among students and enhances their creative, critical thinking, reading and writing skills.

ACTOMANIACS – SKIT COMPETITION

'Actomania' is a theatre festival by actors. When an actor digs into the depth of his being, the seeds of suppressed emotions sprout and a genuine desire to express is born. It is like an actor becomes a creator. A mime, musical or skit competition was organized for the students of Department of English and Psychology on 6th February, 2023.

'PSYCHE-MIND FREAKS' – A POSTER MAKING COMPETITION

Creative Zone had organized the poster making competition for the students of Arts on Psychological topics on July 20, 2022. This competition was organized with the objective of that the students can understand the psychological topics in better manner.

MÈLANGE - BA'S SPOTLIGHT SPAR

Creativity is the ability to transcend traditional ways of thinking and to develop new and original ideas. Creative Zone with an aim of nourishing the students' underlying creativity organizes various innovative activities around the year. Creative Zone had organized 'Mèlange- BA's Spotlight Spar' on 27th August 2022. Mèlange means a mixture and as the word suggests this was a talent hunt contest which included several competitions like Solo Dance, Solo Singing, Mimicry, Poetry Recitation, Instrumental and Monologue.

REMINISCENCE

Creative Zone started Reminiscence with a motive to remember a literary figure and artists. Club celebrated birth centenary of R K Laxman in October, 2021 after celebrating Rabindranath Tagore in 2019 and William Wordsworth 2020. The event was divided in two parts – cartooning competition and quadrangle decoration. The students were inspired to be a cartoonist for a day and share their common man views.

WORLD READ ALOUD DAY

Creative Zone, Department of English, Christ College, Rajkot celebrated World Read Aloud Day on February 3, 2021. Students along with the faculty members came up with a spectrum of various poems, stories and novels of their choice and read it aloud. The event was conducted in online and offline mode.
