Christ College, Rajkot, in association with the Balvant Parekh Centre for General Semantics and Other Human Sciences (BPCGS and OHS), Baroda, is organizing a National Workshop on the theme “Environment, Emotion and Expression: Interdisciplinary Approaches.” The workshop is scheduled to be held from 24 to 26 September 2026.
The workshop is organized by the Balvant Parekh Centre for General Semantics and Other Human Sciences, Baroda, and the Department of English & Psychology, Christ College, Rajkot. The theme brings together the interconnected dimensions of the environment, human emotions, and different forms of expression, highlighting the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to understanding these areas.
The workshop as an academic platform that connects environmental concerns with human emotional experiences and various forms of expression, including literature, psychology, art, music, communication, and contemporary digital interactions. The visual theme of the brochure reflects this interdisciplinary character through representations of nature, the human mind and emotions, the Earth, literature, music, art, and digital technology.
The workshop is associated with the academic leadership of Prof. Prafulla C. Kar, Director and Managing Trustee, BPCGS and OHS, Baroda; Dr. Yvonne Fernandes, Principal, Christ College, Rajkot; and Dr. Father Jomon Thommana, Director, Christ College Campus, Rajkot.
The workshop provides a platform for engaging with the interconnected dimensions of environment, emotion, and expression through diverse academic and creative perspectives.
