The Department of Computer Applications, Christ College, Rajkot organized an insightful educational visit to the ACP Cyber Cell, Rajkot, for the BCA Semester V students as part of their experiential learning in Cyber Security.
The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to real-world cyber crime investigations and the technologies used in digital forensics. Under the coordination of Ms. Pintukumari Bera, the tour was conducted in two sessions for Division A and Division B.
At the Cyber Cell, students were warmly welcomed by Inspector Mr. Kaila and Mr. Jadeja, who shared valuable insights into the nature of cyber crimes, the functioning of the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCSR), and the step-by-step investigation process once a complaint is filed.
A highlight of the session was the interaction with a real-life cyber fraud victim, helping students understand the human and technical sides of such cases.
Students also visited the Cyber Forensics Laboratory, where Mr. Hardik Joshi—an alumnus of Christ College and expert at the Cyber Cell—demonstrated investigative tools, forensic software, and real-time data analysis techniques used to trace cyber threats.
The visit offered students an in-depth understanding of:
Cyber crime detection and investigation methods
Legal and ethical aspects of cyber security
Tools and technologies used in forensic analysis
The experience was both educational and inspiring, strengthening the students’ awareness of ethical technology practices and cyber safety. It truly reflected Christ College’s commitment to learning beyond the classroom and nurturing future-ready professionals in the digital age.
