The inception of Christ College is the realization of the longing of the people of Saurashtra and Kutch, for an efficacious centre for Higher Learning. Christ College, started in 1998, has the distinction of being the first multi-faculty co-ed English medium college in Arts , Science and Commerce in Saurashtra and Kutch region of Gujarat and it provides quality education to the youth so as to enable them to take up the challenges of the morrow.
Quality Education has become a buzz word in the field of Technical Education. Education Sector, Research and Industries are looking for skilled engineers who are readily deployable or will become productive with minimum training and are able to take up challenges of future requirements in private and public sectors.
Christ Polytechnic Institute started in the Year 2005 with the motto 
means the lamp of knowledge is lit. Institute is running six courses at present, and one of the unique feature of our institution is the facilities and infrastructure provided in the campus. Our institute is actively engaged in enhancing academic ability and overall development of students. High academic ambience is created and managed by competent faculties and are continuously involved in the development and growth of the student.
